O clube condenou as atitudes, considerando ser inaceitável o que ocorreu na Bombonera.

Based on their respective performances this season, the Portuguese starlet has emerged as a better option than the Japan international in the middle of the park.

That is not to say that Hatate is a bad player or that he is of no use to Celtic, of course, but Bernardo has done enough to suggest that he should have a regular starting spot ahead of him.

Out of possession, it is night and day between the two players. Bernardo has averaged 1.9 more tackles and interceptions per game and won a significantly higher percentage of his ground duels in comparison to Hatate.

Considerado ídolo do Corinthians, Rincón defendeu também Santos, Palmeiras e Cruzeiro no futebol brasileiro. Ele começou a carreira em 1986, aos 20 anos, no clube Santa Fe. Em seguida, trocou de equipe e passou a defender o América de Cali, onde jogou até 1993, antes de se transferir para o Palmeiras.

Em 1994, Rincón chegou ao Brasil para defender o Palmeiras, onde fez 32 jogos e marcou 10 gols naquele ano. Logo foi emprestado pelo Verdão para o Napoli (ITA). Em seguida, o ex-meia foi vendido para o Real Madrid (ESP), onde teve passagem tímida.

– Me faltou ser branco. Não sofri racismo no dia a dia, mas para jogar dentro do Real Madrid, sim. Com Jorge Valdano foi muito difícil, porque o pressionavam. (…) O clima era pesado, porque há muito ego, muito orgulho, são coisas que acontecem por estar na melhor equipe do mundo – disse em entrevista, sobre seu período no clube de Madri.

Depois do Real, Rincón voltou ao futebol brasileiro novamente pelo Palmeiras e trocou o Alviverde pelo arquirrival Corinthians, onde teve sua passagem mais marcante no Brasil. Ele foi capitão do título mundial do Corinthians em 2000, além de conquistar o bicampeonato brasileiro (1998/99). Rincón ainda passou por Santos e Cruzeiro antes de encerrar a carreira no próprio Corinthians em 2004. Após a aposentadoria, o ex-meia passou a se dedicar à carreira de treinador de times menores brasileiros como São Bento e São José. Também foi auxiliar-técnico do Atlético-MG e comentarista.

A seleção da Colômbia na década de 90 tinha como base a equipe do Atlético Nacional, que conquistou a Libertadores de 1989. Porém, Rincón era um dos titulares que atuaram por outro clube na época, o América de Cali. No início do comando do técnico Francisco Maturana na seleção, Rincón atuava como atacante. Além do meia, a seleção da Colômbia contava com grandes jogadores como Valderrama, Higuita, Asprilla, Valencia e Aristizábal.

Após a Copa de 90, Rincón seguiu no grupo da seleção colombiana que ficou em quarto lugar na Copa América de 1991, e em terceiro na edição de 1993 – ano em que a Colômbia chegou ao auge. Os colombianos fizeram um bom ano em 1993 e, na última rodada, precisavam de uma vitória contra a Argentina, que também não estava garantida na Copa do Mundo de 1994. O confronto contra a seleção de Batistuta e Simeone é um dos episódios mais lembrados da Colômbia da década de 90.

Isto porque, na ocasião, a Colômbia atropelou a Argentina por 5 a 0 em pleno Monumental de Nuñes, em Buenos Aires. Earlier this month, in what was termed by Test captain Dean Elgar as a “litmus test of loyalty”, Cricket South Africa (CSA) allowed the players choose between the IPL and their Test commitments against Bangladesh.According to an agreement between the two boards, CSA has historically provided their players with NOCs to participate in the IPL and have not organised fixtures at the same time. This year is different, with an expanded IPL and an autumn series against Bangladesh.”The original agreement with the BCCI was that we would release our players for the IPL. وفي هذا السياق، تواصل بطولات مع خبير اللوائح والقوانين الرياضية، عامر العمايرة، لتوضيح الموقف القانوني وما إذا كان من الممكن استمرار القضية في الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم “فيفا” بعد وفاة أحد الأطراف، مؤكدًا أن الوضع يتوقف على عدة عوامل إجرائية.

وأضاف: “إذا تم تبادل الردود بين اللاعب والنادي الروماني، ووصلت تلك الردود إلى نادي الزمالك ورد عليها، فمعنى ذلك أن المطالبة تسير بشكل طبيعي”.

واستمر: “أما إذا لم يتم ذلك، فتبقى القضية في بدايتها، وسيُطلب استكمالها أو تُغلق في حال كان اللاعب فقط هو من تم رفع القضية ضده”.

وتابع: “لو كانت القضية محجوزة لصدور قرار، وكان أحد الأطراف قد توفي مثل اللاعب، فالتنفيذ هنا يصبح معقدًا”.

وأتم: “تبدأ الجهات بالنظر في الملابسات والبحث عن إمكانية اتخاذ قرارات تأديبية مثل الإيقاف أو غيره، ولكن ملامح القضية نفسها غير واضحة لأنك لا تملك المستندات الكاملة”.

Russell Martin’s side are yet to pick up a single top flight point, losing to Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, Brentford and Manchester United. The Saints have only scored one league goal, however, they are into the Carabao Cup last 16 after a penalty shootout win over Everton.

Talking after that win, Martin said: “I saw so much character, spirit, fight and togetherness and the game looked how we wanted it to look, apart from a few moments where we wanted a bit more attacking intent.

“I was really pleased with a lot of the performances and the way we reacted to conceding. I’m delighted for the players – they were brave and aggressive. I’m so excited about what’s to come. We just need that first win [in the Premier League] and everyone will relax a bit. I’ve got no doubt they will continue to grow.”

Southampton contract update – Tyler Dibling

Southampton youngster Tyler Dibling has recently caught the eye on the pitch, being dubbed the “next big thing” after his impressive displays off the bench so far this season.

Now, according to GiveMeSport, those cameo performances have been catching the eye of numerous clubs, with Manchester United, Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Stuttgart all eyeing moves for the 18-year-old.

Fortunately for Saints supporters, GMS have revealed that Dibling is expected to sign a new contract with Southampton. They claim that ‘Southampton have secured a significant boost in their attempts to tie Dibling down to an extended deal as he is increasingly likely to sign on the dotted line due to enjoying his football on the south coast, but all parties are not in a rush to thrash out negotiations because he is already healthily contracted’.

They look set to reward Dibling, who is enjoying working under Martin at St Mary’s, with a pay raise. Martin also appears to be enjoying working with the teenager, saying: “I think the biggest thing I can say is if he’s playing it tells you what we feel about him at 18 years old. The stuff that he can do that we trust him with. Tyler from now to looking back even three months ago is a very different person and the growth in him has been huge.”

Alex Hales will make a surprise return to the PSL to help an injury-battered Islamabad United progress to the final of the seventh season.United are due to take on Peshawar Zalmi in the first eliminator at Gaddafi Stadium on Thursday, a game Hales is now expected to be available for. His return will be a massive boost to the two-time champions, who have been hit especially hard by injuries and absences this season.Hales had left the PSL just over a week ago, citing bubble fatigue as the main reason for his withdrawal. But a couple of amendments to the existing health and safety protocols, approved today, have allowed Hales to return and play immediately without the need to isolate beforehand once he arrives. Hales will have to clear a Covid-19 test on arrival.The amendment means that at this late stage teams can bring in players and make them play the day of their arrival. They will, however, be kept apart from the team as much as possible, including not having access to the team’s dressing room, staying in a separate area of the hotel and traveling in a separate car to the stadium.The other amendment has been to cut the isolation period for asymptomatic cases from seven to five days – with a negative rapid antigen test required to exit isolation. A number of members of the Zalmi and Multan Sultans squad have tested positive in the last couple of days, including Tim David. This tweak allows some room for positive cases – depending on when they tested positive – to return should their teams make the final on Sunday.According to the PCB, “the amendments were presented and unanimously approved by the six franchises this afternoon and were run past the Medical Advisory Panel before being introduced.”United, though, will be happiest, given how crucial Hales was to their fortunes this season. Despite not playing three games, Hales is United’s top-scorer this season, averaging over 40 at a strike rate of 156.44. Along with Paul Stirling – who had to leave for national duty with Ireland – his starts meant United were among the highest-scoring sides in the Powerplay earlier in the season.But Hales’ abrupt departure was part of a string of changes to what would’ve been their first-choice XI; Stirling and Rahmanullah Gurbaz both had to leave for international duty; Shadab Khan, the captain, has been injured; Colin Munro is injured; Zeeshan Zameer, their promising young fast bowler, is also out for the season. That has impacted United’s performances, the franchise stuttering into the playoffs with three defeats in their last four games (the last two especially comprehensive). Even with a close-to-full strength side early on though United had won three and lost three of their first six games.There is cautious optimism within United that Shadab might be fit to play in the first eliminator against Zalmi. Given the season he – and Hales – have had, they will be very welcome returns.
