وتابع: “لو كانت القضية محجوزة لصدور قرار، وكان أحد الأطراف قد توفي مثل اللاعب، فالتنفيذ هنا يصبح معقدًا”.

وأتم: “تبدأ الجهات بالنظر في الملابسات والبحث عن إمكانية اتخاذ قرارات تأديبية مثل الإيقاف أو غيره، ولكن ملامح القضية نفسها غير واضحة لأنك لا تملك المستندات الكاملة”.

Considerado ídolo do Corinthians, Rincón defendeu também Santos, Palmeiras e Cruzeiro no futebol brasileiro. Ele começou a carreira em 1986, aos 20 anos, no clube Santa Fe. Em seguida, trocou de equipe e passou a defender o América de Cali, onde jogou até 1993, antes de se transferir para o Palmeiras.

Em 1994, Rincón chegou ao Brasil para defender o Palmeiras, onde fez 32 jogos e marcou 10 gols naquele ano. Logo foi emprestado pelo Verdão para o Napoli (ITA). Em seguida, o ex-meia foi vendido para o Real Madrid (ESP), onde teve passagem tímida.

– Me faltou ser branco. Não sofri racismo no dia a dia, mas para jogar dentro do Real Madrid, sim. Com Jorge Valdano foi muito difícil, porque o pressionavam. (…) O clima era pesado, porque há muito ego, muito orgulho, são coisas que acontecem por estar na melhor equipe do mundo – disse em entrevista, sobre seu período no clube de Madri.

Depois do Real, Rincón voltou ao futebol brasileiro novamente pelo Palmeiras e trocou o Alviverde pelo arquirrival Corinthians, onde teve sua passagem mais marcante no Brasil. Ele foi capitão do título mundial do Corinthians em 2000, além de conquistar o bicampeonato brasileiro (1998/99). Rincón ainda passou por Santos e Cruzeiro antes de encerrar a carreira no próprio Corinthians em 2004. Após a aposentadoria, o ex-meia passou a se dedicar à carreira de treinador de times menores brasileiros como São Bento e São José. Também foi auxiliar-técnico do Atlético-MG e comentarista.

SELEÇÃO
A seleção da Colômbia na década de 90 tinha como base a equipe do Atlético Nacional, que conquistou a Libertadores de 1989. Porém, Rincón era um dos titulares que atuaram por outro clube na época, o América de Cali. No início do comando do técnico Francisco Maturana na seleção, Rincón atuava como atacante. Além do meia, a seleção da Colômbia contava com grandes jogadores como Valderrama, Higuita, Asprilla, Valencia e Aristizábal.

Após a Copa de 90, Rincón seguiu no grupo da seleção colombiana que ficou em quarto lugar na Copa América de 1991, e em terceiro na edição de 1993 – ano em que a Colômbia chegou ao auge. Os colombianos fizeram um bom ano em 1993 e, na última rodada, precisavam de uma vitória contra a Argentina, que também não estava garantida na Copa do Mundo de 1994. O confronto contra a seleção de Batistuta e Simeone é um dos episódios mais lembrados da Colômbia da década de 90.

Isto porque, na ocasião, a Colômbia atropelou a Argentina por 5 a 0 em pleno Monumental de Nuñes, em Buenos Aires. Os ‘Cafeteiros’ não deram chances para os argentinos e garantiram a vaga na Copa do Mundo de 1994 em grande estilo. No jogo, Rincón foi um dos destaques, marcando dois gols e uma assistência.

A seleção colombiana passou a temporada de 1993 de forma invicta. Foram 19 jogos, sendo 10 vitórias e nove empates. Dessa forma, chegou a ser considerada uma das favoritas ao título mundial. Apesar de todo destaque da seleção colombiana às vésperas da Copa de 1994, a equipe não correspondeu às expectativas nos EUA e foi eliminada precocemente. Foram duas derrotas e uma vitória na fase de grupos.

Após a Copa do Mundo, Rincón teve uma campanha de destaque pela seleção somente na Copa América de 1995, quando ficou novamente na terceira colocação. Ele disputou o mundial de 1998, mas a Colômbia acabou ficando de fora do mata-mata, assim como em 1994. Com a camisa da seleção, ele marcou 17 gols em 84 jogos.

Alexander Isak's late winner downed Tottenham at St. James' Park, an unhappy stomping ground in recent years, which cancelled out an equaliser through Dan Burn's own goal.

Despite tasting defeat in the North East, Postecoglou still found the positives, namely how his Spurs side nullified a lot of Newcastle's threat but couldn't quite capitalise on their control for long periods.

"Very similar I guess to our first away game when we controlled it for the most part, nullified most of the threats that Newcastle have," said Postecoglou on Tottenham's 2-1 loss to Newcastle.

"t's obviously a difficult opponent here at home. The crowd create a pretty strong atmosphere for the home side, little things go their way but I thought for the most part we handled that really well. Then we gained the ascendancy in the game and we just needed to kill it off and we didn't and a disappointing second goal. I thought we switched off a little bit but the game should have been well over by then. So, another sore one unfortunately where we haven't got the rewards for our play, but ultimately it's three strong performances from the first three games. The results don't reflect it in that way."

Tottenham will be hoping to have one of Richarlison or summer signing Dominic Solanke back in time for Arsenal, as it is arguable that the north Londoners really missed a striker's presence up front.

Mikel Arteta's side, while likely to be competing for the Premier League title with Man City, are not invincible themselves – as Brighton showed during their 1-1 draw at the Emirates last weekend. Arsenal will also be without both star midfielder Declan Rice and summer arrival Mikel Merino, with Arteta looking pretty short in midfield.

As Postecoglou prepares to host Arsenal right after the international break, there is still some transfer activity going on in the background, and technical director Johan Lange has time to orchestrate more deals.

Tottenham can dip into the free agent market until the Premier League's squad submission deadline on September 14, and it is believed that Turkey international attacker Yusuf Yazici has been offered to Spurs on a Bosman deal after leaving Lille in June.

Meanwhile, the Greek and Turkish windows are still open until the end of next week, so an opportunity could arise for out-of-favour left-back Sergio Reguilon to leave.

Reguilon could make loan move from Tottenham to Fenerbahce

According to Turkish news outlet Fanatik, Fenerbahçe want to sign Reguilon on loan from Spurs, where ex-boss Jose Mourinho is personally keen on taking him.

The Süper Lig giants are aiming to make a statement signing, akin to that of their rivals Galatasaray sealing a move for Victor Osimhen, and Fanatik suggest Reguilon could be that player.

The £120,000-per-week defender was heavily linked with a summer exit which didn't materialise, but Mourinho is now looking to strike a reunion with Reguilon, who he originally brought to Tottenham from Real Madrid in 2020.

The 27-year-old is training with the first team but hasn't made a single matchday squad so far this season, despite being praised as a "quality player" from time-to-time (Noel Whelan).
